Lash lift aftercare: the do's and don'ts

A Korean lash lift is wonderfully low-maintenance, but the first 24 hours matter, and a few easy habits will keep it looking lovely for the full six to eight weeks. Here's the simple version.

The first 24 hours: the don'ts

Keep them dry. No water, steam or sweat on the lashes for 24 hours. That means skipping the gym, swimming, hot showers and saunas for the first day.

No makeup on the eyes. Give mascara and eye products a day off so the lift can fully set.

Don't rub or press. Try not to sleep face-down into the pillow on the first night, and keep your hands away from your eyes.

After the first day: the do's

Brush them gently. A quick comb through with a clean spoolie keeps them looking neat and separated.

Nourish them. A little lash serum or a touch of oil (castor oil is popular) keeps your natural lashes conditioned and healthy, which helps them hold the lift.

Be gentle removing makeup. If you do wear mascara, use an oil-free remover and a soft touch rather than scrubbing.

What to expect over the weeks

Your lift will gradually relax as your natural lashes grow out and shed on their own cycle, usually over six to eight weeks. There's no harsh "grow-out" line — it softens naturally, so you can simply rebook when you're ready for a refresh.
